Petra Valoma is a dancer, writer, DJ and astrologer based in California.
Petra studies dance with Suhaila Salimpour of the Salimpour School of Dance and she studied spiritual herbalism with Karen Rose of Sacred Vibes Apothecary. She is the daughter of textile artist Deborah Valoma and granddaughter of Elizabeth Valoma, founder of the Cheese Board Collective. She is a descendent of Armenian lineage originating from the Tigris-Euphrates river system and Scandinavian lineage originating from Vaeroya island.
Petra carries forward ancient ancestral practices of divination, ritual and alchemy through her work performing dance, conducting readings and organizing events. In all her projects, she regards art and culture as sacred and ceremonial - mediums with the power to create our collective reality.
